This Pilot was the "Famous" (His words) 0o0Preatorian0o0. He proceeded to enter a sniper spot and start taking pot shots at passing ships. After seeing what he was up to and exchanging some lines of smack, I offered him a 1v1. This is where it gets entertaining. He immediately declines, stating that my current corporation is somehow dishonorable and that he had been tricked on his last duel. I stated that this duel had nothing to do with the past, it was the present. And that in all of the duels I had been in, I have NEVER broken the rules. After several minutes of arguing in local, with some unkind words on my part, he states that all that he has to 1v1 is a Nighthawk. I agree to take it on, but he declines again. This time his excuse is that "I am a no-body" and that he is too well known, IN EVE-ONLINE, to be wasting his time on me. Seriously, popularity or reputation does matter when you are going up against someone you don't really know in EVE, especially if it's a 1v1. But when someone claims to be too well known, and calls someone else a no-body, all respect is lost for that individual in my view. If you were really that great, you'll duel me. I don't know anything about Preatorian himself, but I've heard of his corporation. As well as running into several of their lowsec gatecamps. All I've got to say is, 0o0Preatorian0o0, be a man and accept my offer. Enough with the empty excuses and smack, lets do this. - Green Halo Convo's can be provided for anyone interested.

If that's not the case, what exactly are you saying? Not trying to be a jerk by the way. If your corp has been honorable in the past, and he's just making excuses, that's one thing. But this seems to say something else. He states that my corporation is dishonorable without any proof. The duel he was tricked in was the most recent one he engaged in - nothing to do with my corp.

Now people are 'too' good to accept a duel? 1v1's aren't dead, I've been in plenty and plan on being in many more. If they blob me, oh well, I however won't step down that low. It's their choice. If you think I'm a fool for trying to 'force' him to duel me? Maybe so, but I'll be damned if he's going to sit in station and smack at me while I wait outside for him to do something.

This thread is about how someone believes themselves "too good" and famous to 1v1 someone who wishes to take them on, yet he refuses to accept the challenge. Now if you could stop bringing up random stories and stupid topics, it would be very appreciated.
